Hornsey Lodge provides a highly enjoyable meeting place for like-minded past or current Metropolitan Grand Lodge Escorting Officers, whilst also assisting and remaining intrinsically involved with Metropolitan Grand Lodge’s ceremonies and activities.
Members are invariably former or present Metropolitan Escorting Officers.
Hornsey Lodge meetings are also graced with a host of Metropolitan Grand Officers including AMets and Metropolitan Grand Inspectors, who regularly visit and enhance our gatherings. Indeed at our Meeting on the 27th November 2019 we were honoured with the presence of the Metropolitan Grand Master, Sir Michael Snyder.
Hornsey Lodge which had a rich history and is a Hall Stone Jewel Lodge was re-launched in March 2017 and operates under the auspices of Metropolitan Grand Lodge of London by providing a pool of experienced talent that London Craft Masonry can rely upon as required.
The Metropolitan Grand Lodge of London itself is under the governance of the United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE) founded in 1717 and extols the four virtues of integrity, respect, friendship and charity as highlighted in UGLE’s ground breaking 2020 Annual Report.
Hornsey Lodge is a very welcoming, happy and accomplished lodge. Whilst there is a diversity of ages and professions, all members share some official escorting experience and possess a common masonic ethos. Hornsey Lodge is also proud to be a proactive supporter of the Metropolitan Grand Lodge of London Charitable Fund including the Charitable Appeals.

Hornsey Lodge L890, which was re-launched by Metropolitan Grand Lodge to assist London Masonry with its ongoing program of ceremonies and activities from the pool of experienced masonic talent within its ranks, meets twice a year on the fourth Wednesday of March (installation) and November followed by an exceptional festive board.
